Colorado
River Rafting from Steamboat:
Take US 40 east about 1.5 miles east of town to Hwy 131 South.
(This turn is just before Haymaker Golf Course.)
Follow
Hwy 131 south for 55 miles.
You will
come to the Colorado River at State Bridge. Stay on Hwy 131,
cross the river, as soon as you get off the bridge, turn left
into our parking lot.
**To
avoid road construction delays: Take 131 south for 6.5 miles.
Turn left onto County Road 14 – Stagecoach State Park sign.
County Road 14 dead ends back into Hwy 131 just south of Oak
Creek – so turn left & you have about 35 miles to go.
Eagle
River Rafting from Steamboat:
Same
– except stay on Hwy 131. It dead ends at Wolcott about 70
miles from Steamboat. Follow signs to I-70 West. Take the
Eagle Exit (Exit 147) and follow signs to rest area. (In detail:
turn left at top of exit ramp, turn right at the next light
onto Chambers Ave. Go less than ¼ mile to the rest area, visitor’s
information and museum on the left.
